some CSM question?
Does my unit need to have same color to play a game? My plague marine is deep green and the rest of CSM are purple, can I put them in the same game?

yes...as long as the opponent can tell what each unit is...and you are only using one codex...the army is legal no matter what

Go through what each unit represents with your opponent before a game, offer your army list and you won't have a problem. You're free to paint your models however you please.

If you look at the Black Legion Army in the Chaos Codex (P65, top picture) they are mostly black, except the Khorne Berzerkers in the bottom right. That's as an official YES as you can get!
