    Hello! Other Players Near Tulsa?

Hey guys, I've been interested in 40k for quite a while now, and I am actually thinking about buying my first army, and I find the Orks very intriguing.

But, here is where a problem comes in. I live in Oklahoma, around the Tulsa area, and I have been told that Oklahoma is essentially a dead zone for almost ANY GW games, and that if I bought a army, it would be a pointless investment unless I wanted to collect because I wouldn't find hardly any players in the area. Can anyone confirm this?

I googled Warhammer Tulsa. I got at least 3 different sites for hobby/gaming stores. Try going to one of these and seeing what's up. It might not be a big group of gamers where you could play any of 30 players with every army represented...but you'll be able to find some fun games I'm sure.

You can find GW games players everywhere, I have a few with me in Afghanistan right now, though none of us really has enough models to do anything with. Anyway, welcome to the forums.

I used to go over to Tulsa occasionally. While I never played myself, I did stop over at a few game stores. The one that comes to mind is the Wizards Asylum down on 71st and Mingo. Fairly large selection on models, and a decent area to play in if I remember correctly. If nothing else they should be able to point you the right direction. And looking at their site right now, it appears that they have open gaming for 40k on Monday nights http://www.wizardscomicsandgames.com/default.html
