    WAAAAGHHHHH!!!!!

    ok so here the scenerio,
    no named characters
must used a warboss (he's my general for the campaign i was thinkin about puttin mega armour on him)
    1000pts
    vs. blood angels
i know he's going to field a squad of termie's and this airship thing that carries this termie's and a dread.

if you had any models to use what 1000pt army would you field to defeat them. i have been 0-8 so far darn that sagwen guard.

im hoping to get some ork love

Well to be honest I have little knowledge of the bloodAngels and little experience fighting them - but if youre only playing 1000 point, i might have a few suggestions for you. Termies and a Stormraven and a dread will be pretty expensive. I think i would go with as many Shootaboys as possible. Big Mobs of 30 boyz with shootas - 3 of them upgraded to either rokkits or big shootas + the Nob with klaw and pole ofc and a pair of KFF Meks. But then again - my knowledge bout Red Beakies is rather limited. I hope AoB or D4C will pop by with some advice

    Cheers

I'm thinking nearly the same... though I would skip the upgrades to the boyz. The big shoota and rokkits just aren't worth it, IMO.

Use those points for some rokkit buggies, deffkoptas or Lootas. Get some higher strength, longer range dakka to deal with the SR and 2+ armor.

Is this a fun game? Maybe a SAG Mek? Nothing puts a smile on an ork generals face like zapping a whole unit of enemy troops into the warp with one shot.

If he's fielding Sanguine Guard, Terminators and a Storm Raven you should be able to deal with him quickly. You will outnumber him 4 to 1 or more since he already has 2/3 of his list tied up in fancy units... too much frosting, not enough cake.

You will show him the error of his ways by bringing overwhelming numbers to the table. No matter what, he won't have enough guns on the table to deal with you.

    1 warboss 130
    30 shootas 180
    30 sluggas 180
    30 sluggas 180
    10 lootas 150
    thats 820 that leaves 180
battlewagon maybe or a squad of burna boys, would tank boys attack a stormraven. almost there love the advice.

You have Nobz with a PK and BP in each of those boyz mobz, yes?

    That is a must...

Without Nobz you may be better off with the KFF Mek instead of the Warboss... for that 5+ cover save while you run across the board?

Try to fit in another mob of boyz or another of Lootas... should fair pretty well.

Start by concentrating all the Lootas on his toughest units... SR, Terminators, etc. They will be targets for long range fire immediately... but if you can deploy them into some cover that will help... or stick the KFF Mek with them.

The boyz plan is simple... shoot/run until you're close enough to really hurt 'em

The SAG is mentioned in context with friendly games because its a horribly unreliable weapon - and please note that nowhere in that explanation did I say crappy or not fun - because the SAG is like tons of fun .... and it will, if it works out to your advantage ... make the BloodBeakies go crappy in their speedoes. Awesome gun - awesome fun - but horribly unreliable. In a tight points game vs a streamlined Beakie army - maybe not the best of choices ... but thats just me rambling like always.
I would have to agree with D4C - as always it appears - dont pick up rokkits or big shootas, but deffy get a Nob with klaw and pole. Dont bother grabbing a BW - he will smoke it fast and the 180 points are so nicely assosiated with another big 'uge mob of lads.
Drown the Beakies in bullits and choppas ... thats the propa way.
    ....... BONUS sneaky Squig ()

    Cheers
