Do necrons still hate all life?

Well their goal seems to be to re-establish themselves as rulers of the galaxy, but do they still want to exterminate all other forms of life (to a microscopic level) in the process?

no, they want to find a way to get back to flesh time and they need lifeforms for that .
The silent king ended his self imposed exile when he came across the tyranids because theyre a threat to this plan

Destroyers do, as a by-product of complications during the sleep. The others, not so much any more, more domination than destruction.

I will explain this a bit more, destroyers are Necrons whom psyche has been torn beyond recovery because of their long statis sleep. Angered and despaired at their soulless existence these Necrons turn to nihilism. They no longer seek redemption or repatriation with flesh that was so long lost to them. They only wish to drive all other living beings into death´s welcome embrace.

These Necrons no longer care about how they look so they start to modify their bodies to optimize themselves in killing becoming the heralds of oblivion.

The Necron Lord of Dawn of War Dark Crusade is a Overlord that´s about to become a Destroyer Lord. In the book fall of Damnos the Lord has a similar problem. He goes to a killing spree annihilating everything on Damnos so that he no longer will see living beings because seeing them can bring him over the edge to become a destroyer lord.

What would happen? If 4 models representing all my 4 armies would talk to each other.

Space Marine says: Kill all Xenos!
Eldar says: Well this is going to a civilized conversation, MONKEIGH!
    Necrons says: 01010100010101
Dark Eldar says: Hold on everyone! Before we are starting to have an enjoyable little slaughter has anyone seen my Cocaine? I serious need to get high!

Not all necrons desire the time of flesh again. The Silent King may want to go back to the bodies of flesh, but since he abandoned the necrons for such a long time, I doubt any of the new Pharons would listen to him, as they each have their own personal agendas now.
Imotekh, Trazyn, Anrakyr and Orikan seem almost against it, seeking dominance of the galaxy, empowerment, or simply their own personal desires fulfilled. To go back to fleshy bodies would inhibit this more than anything.
As for Szeras and Zahndrekh & Obyron...I guess Obyron would like to see the necrons restored to fleshy states, because then his master would perhaps seem a little more sane. And Szeras...I suppose he does too, though not the necrons original form, but something new and more evolved.
All in all, Necrons yearn for dominance of the universe. Some necrons have enslaved other races and planets, showing that they dont want total destruction of other races if they can utilised. Only the destroyers desire the eradication of all life, as someone said above.

The silent king left after the command to sleep was obeyed , and the command protocols were not boken untill they slept .
So to the majority of necrons he,s not been gone . He was there when they entered the tombs and he,s flitting round awakening worlds now .

I kind of like the first necron book, when they where all slaves to the Cthan and
    wanter to exterminate all life.
It was highly dark and awesome.
the new one was just.. fun but not as well written and not as serious.

In particular I liked the old version of the Flayed Ones, that whey where using
horror tactics not the version where they where "infected" necrons.

The biggest error with the codex, was how it totally deprived the theme-bearing
Cthan of any role in the story at all who was.. theme-bearing.

Mm, I liked the nihilism and that they where so alien and lacking in humanity.
I don't like this inner struggle and angst over their existence.
I rather liked them as they where before with no options,
they where souless robotic personification of death.
Their minds are totally altered, they necrontyr are dead, only the Necrons remain.
    I don't like pinoccio i robot fiction.
Now, they have a choice, I dont like it.

    If I was writing the story it would be like;

The Cthan still controlls the necron but the Necron Dynasties was rebelling against and destroying those Cthan that where destroyed.
The Nightbringer and the Deciever still controll their Necrons,
the Necron Dynasties are those necron that where controlled by those
    Cthan that where destroyed.

The Necron dynasties as a concept was good but not victim of bad realisation, could have been darker and a bit more like the Cthan.

In additon, I think the Cthan Void Dragon is the Machine God
and a Cthan that is more sympathetic to humanity.
