    Lucius the Eternal

    After some advice on Lucius the Eternal and best way to use in battle. Also what has worked for other players. Any help would be good.

    IMHO, Lucius is cool, but not a great HQ compared to other special characters (namely Kharn)
    Lucius particularly shines vs weak hordes, since the more saves he makes in close combat the more damage his armor kicks back; which is a double edged sword, flood him with wounds and he'll eventually fail some and die

    AP3 flamer is pretty good, he can happily support a small-medium sized squad and beat face, provided you keep him away from enemy CC specialists.

    However....
    Lucius: 160pts
    Daemon Prince (Wings, Mark of Slaanesh, Warptime pre-GW facepalm): 165pts
    Daemon Prince (Wings, Mark of Khorne): 140pts
    or Kharn as mentioned

    Lucius is possibly the weakest choice.

    Agreed.

    He's a nice fluffy choice. If you are dead set on taking him, look at thim as more of a bully. He doesn't do well against units tougher than him, he likes to go after squishier targets, and with help. For example, Tactical squads, scouts etc.

    Good judgement comes from experience, alot of that comes from bad judgement
