    Update

Thanks DP I apprieciate the compliment.

OK IM about 9 models into my 12 man World Eater squad (Do you know how many bl**dy rivets there are on a WE, lol) still have 3 to go inc my champion who I converted to have a rather splendid 2 headed chain Axe, and bases of all 12 to go.

Incidentally does anyone know how to change the title of a thread "my green ones" sounds rather daft now. I thought it was pertinant to my Nurgle guys at the time, but seeing as its a thread or blog about my inprogress Black Legion force, it now seems misleading, and like I have a thing for Orks or something (no offence to you boyz of the Waagh) .... OK Arch has kindly informed me how to rename my thread, hence the update and the new name, which is what this is actualy about (makes sense i spose) My WE are almost finished just working on the Champion and all the bases now, Had a break from painting here and there, so has been a while coming.
I have also been trying to think of names for the planned vehicles in my army (premature I know but thinking is cheap, Im planning on painting the names in some format on the actual models) Im thinking of "Litany of" for my series of Rhinos hate, fear, etc. (I have only 1 unpainted one at the mo, but I have my eye on a 2nd hand unpainted one in a store which has the FW BL doors on it) I have a Vindicator unpainted that I was thinking of Apocalypse Bringer/Bringer of the Apocalypse, because Im only planning on having 1, And I have an unpainted predator which I hope will be a pair and call them some bible Armageddon themed names like "End of Days" And I havent thought about Land raider names yet but Im planning on having 1,(which I havent bought yet) These are the only vehicles in the CSM army list, Am I missing a trick on any others? So What do you guys think? or do you have any better Ideas? ............. MD

I like Ancient Greek/Roman names a lot myself, more obscure the better. I have also found Hindi names to be quite good too for certain things, they give it that certain something else. Look some up and use what you like, that's about it really.

Hey Ed, good idea in principle, I like Greek and Roman/Latin words and names and they are easily Wiki'd. Only thing is I feel they are more suited to our more Imperial zelous brethern the likes of GK, or the sisters or the Inquisition. Although I could research the darker gods/names and see if they fit?

So besides the obvious Bikes/Dreads any other vehicle you think I should think about for the future? I was looking at FW, at the chaos drop pod, excellant model.

Think of a civilisation and research names of it. Simple.

    Disaster

Well it feels like one, I finally completed my WE today and I used some new GW purity seal spray on them, It has dulled them down to a point theylook awful. The metatics look dull, the black is almost grey, & the red looks lifeless, Anybody got any ideas other than start again? And what do you guys use for a protective coat? because that purity cr*p is going in the bin. ..... MD

You can strip it and start again, annoying though that will be. Alternatively, wait until it's a bit warmer before spraying. Then shake that can for a good 10 minutes and test on an older model you don't mind fuzzing up (it also clears the nozzle). Then re-spray and it should help. Had that happen on a few of mine before now and it's really annoying. But doing as I mentioned should help them somewhat. And no matter what I do, it always makes my metallics go a little fuzzy. Army Painter matt spray is a better product however, so invest in some of that.

    World Eaters

Ok been a while coming, had a hicup a few weeks ago with purity seal but managed to recover things (I think) Ive uploded some pix of the latestest add on, to my CSM adventure, a 12 man WE squad inc small conversion on a champion, plus the main WE himself Kharn the Betrayer, The Kharn Model is very old but Ive always liked it and had an itch to paint it from when it first came out, The Champ has a double headed Chain Axe and some bloodied skulls ready to add the the skull throne, I also bought seperately for him a World Eater Pauldron from Ebay, a couple of the WE have a bit of claret on the weapons but I didnt go to mad, wasn't sure of the outcome, but Im fairly pleased with it. I have spotted the odd mould line which escaped my attention but not the attention of a close up shot of a cam lol. I have put 2 pix here but have a few more in my album on my profile page, For those intrested the purity seal recovery plan was ink washes on reds and blacks & repaint all metalics.

    O damn mate... lovely models!
I especially like your Black Legion CSM... I normally think of them as boring... but yours...
Makes me want to collect BL :p

Once again guys I apprieciate the comments and support, Just thought I'd let you know what my latest attempt to expand my CSM army is going to be. I have a squad of 4 havocs which Im going to paint BL. In addition Im going to attempt my first major posture change conversion for the squad champion I have in mind a cool sauntering and relaxed posture ready to burst into action, Lastly going to paint a 3 more of bog standard bolter carriers to bulk out my exsisting squad numbers this should give me when complete & purely in the colours of BL 1 x scorceror, 3 x champs, 2 x H Bolters, 1 x Icon, 1 x Flamer, 1 x Plasma Gun, 1 x Lascannon, 1 x Rocket Launcher, 1 x Autocanon and 11 x Bolters. This will be models completed in just BL colours, not inc any WE or DG ive done as well, I figure this will give me the basic requirements of 2-3 units to field a small force if I wanted to. feel free to critique any errors I've made or left out. Ive noticed CSM doesnt seem to have Plasma cannon models in the devestator/Havoc mode, and SM do is this correct?
