my army lists

i have only just started war-gaming and so this is my first army ever.

i came up with this army list (1000 points)

HQ
Castellan Crowe 150

5m purifier squad 2 psilencers 120

10m purifier squad 4 psilencers + psybolt 260

heavy support
landraider crusader + psybolt
+ storm bolter 270

6m purigation squad + 4 psilencers
+ psicannon + psybolt ammo 200



it will be anti nids as my best friend/nemesis is going to play them

i considerd using raven gun ships instead of a LRC, but this way the LRC will soak up all the attention.

psililencers really arent all that great imho. I would prefer psycannons over them any day.

I don't think the land raider does much for the army. You would do alot better with psyfleman dreads.

Right, so you've a Purifier list.

HQ - can't stand Crowe myself, but he's kind of essential I guess.

Troops - stick to two special weapons in a squad, even at 10 guys. In fact, I'd suggest two 6-man units with two Incinerators each and a Halberd. Each squad then takes a Razorback with Psybolts. Inexpensive, but effective. You could then take a larger 10 man unit with Psycannons in a Rhino, and they could be a straight forward Strike Squad as your fire-base.

Purgation Squads are awesome, but not with Psilencers. Incinerators is the way to go with them in my view, but as you'd be taking them with Purifiers in this list, save the points for Troops instead.

The Land Raider Crusader - great tank, but drop the psybolts as you can't move and shoot the Hurricane Bolters with the str5 ammo too well. Multi melta is a good choice however. If you take this, then you could take a larger unit of Purifiers in there instead to act as the main thrust of the army. If you do this, I'd still go with the two Incinerators but add to that two Halberds and a Hammer. The other squads would get demoted into Strike Squads with a Psycannon and Razorback each as they're good and inexpensive.
