    Starting an army, need help!

Would 24 dual wielding chaos warriors + a hero, 40 marauders with flails, 20 warhounds and 10 chaos knights be a decent starting force? Possibly Khorne? Anything else that should be added if i plan to expand?

That's not a bad start, however a few things.

The Overall perception is HW+S with Mark of Tz on Chaos Warriors, at all other times Halberds are the better option. However they're like £1.30ish a piece from GW if you want the conversion ones. Fails and MoK is ace on Men, it's a standard setup, run in Horde (usually) and giggle lots. Even take charges, it doesn't matter, they won't kill enough to stop you getting a shitload of attacks back, and better than that, most of the time your even going first!

The Warhounds aren't overly worth it nowdays, these would be the thing I'd change.

10 Knights, Mark of Tz, Ward Save Standard, they're going nowhere. Really popular on the UK Tournament Scene at the moment.

So yeah, Not a bad Start. For a Hero, usually a Lv2 on a Disk is the best starting point

im a khorne fan of my worriors they take alot of casualties in shooting and what not but when they are up in your grill that 4 attacks a piec i usuall run 14 2 ranks of 7 and or 21 ranks of 7 if your worried about loosing to much. Just remember warriors are 16 pts a model base so every model that is not in base is wasting his second attack because you only get 1 supporting attack so try no to waste point by stacking your warriors in deep ranks like i see alot of people do. My entire Khorne army has never lost (with the execption of my lvl 4 shadow and the leech lord)
