Astaroth the Grim
Hello guys

I've painted one Astaroth miniature early 2010. It was "old school" metal mini, but even then it was challenging. Last week I've been painting another Astaroth. This time it was finecast...
It was horror, horror, horror....
Five times I stopped painting and started filling the bubbles. But finally it is done..

Great looking piece you have there!
The face is amazing, so is the ton-and-a-half of freehand text on those scrolls!
Can't tell in the pic for sure, but the wings look a tad flat? Maybe a highlight in grey to help them stand out?
Also, would love to see a side view shot for a better look at the blade on his axe...

I've published the video tutorial where you may find the axe painting stages: http://youtu.be/IFtGITz_zjU

I agree with D4C, that the wings look unfinished (maybe it's the lighting/flash of the picture that tones out the highlighting)
but still, you've done a fantastic paint job on the body Mortimer
