    Space Marine Chapter Masters

    *Disclaimer*
This is my first post (besides my introduction) and I hope I am doing this in the right place. My cousin and I have been playing Warhammer 40k incorrectly for a long time and we were having a discussion on his Space Marine Chapter Masters 4 piece set. On the games workshop website it doesn't really specify if they are their own squad or if they are just four different Individual pieces that each would count as an HQ (I don't mean that you would use all of them in a game). I can't seem to find them in my Space Marines Codex, or am I just looking in the wrong place. I could use some help! Thanks!

Those models are used in apocalypse as a squad. In normal games you use them seperately and you use the captain and chapter master "creation rules".

The guy with the big nasty hammer is a chapter master/captain with a thunder hammer for 155/130 pts respectivly.
The guy with the shield and the axe could represent one with a storm shield and relic blade/power weapon and so on..

Remember people, Basilisk'''s are my friends

    But sadly, not yours

the models are intended to be special characters that command the various companies within a space marine chapter.
I don't believe they're all supposed to be Chapter Masters, but rather they get the label 'master of' as a title within the chapter's organisation.
I don't have a SM codex, but in the blood angel codex, there is an organisational chart on pg9, where you can see towards the bottom, 2nd Company's Captain Aphael has the title "Master of the Watch"

but as Dark Pwner said these are not intended to be used as a squad (except in Apoc) rather each model can be used as a captain or chapter master.

    Army (W/L/D)
    CSM 0/0/0 (70% painted)
    Tyranid 0/0/0 (updating)
    Eldar 1/1/5

Actually, by definition they are captains of various companies (master of the fleet is captain of 4th company for example).

The models are nice pieces to own, or can be used WYSIWYG in games

My son loves these guys... some of his favorite models...

Ultramarines Masters of the Chapter - according to the codex are:

Master of the Arsenal - Captain Fabian of 3rd Company (power sword, holding helmet)
Master of the Fleet - Captain Idaeus of 4th Company (thunder hammer)
Master of Recruits - Captain Antilochus of 10th Company, Scouts (power sword and boltgun)

The Master of the Watch model (power axe and storm shield) is technically incorrect... since we all know that the Master of the Watch is Captain Sicarius of 2nd Company...

Yep it should. Army Lists is for the development of full lists.

    Thread moved.

Dr. Manfredel is wrong. That kind of thinking is never justified.
