    Doubles Tournie

    So I got a ticket to Doubles in May this morning, I'm partnering a dual-WLC, Grey Seer Skaven list.

    Now, I'm not using Tomb Kings because at 1k they don't compliment Skaven well at all, unless we play a sit-at-the-back defensive list, which will be boring and not be good at some of the scenarios.

    So.... Warriors of Chaos or Daemons. Anyone got any thoughts on what works at 1k? (TBH I'm more interested in WoC, but it's not a big deal).

    here be some quick lists i have knocked up but not knowing what your friend is using bar a grey seer it is a bit guess work for complete synergy (As skaven lists can be VERY, VERY varied.) and are you guys sharing the %'s overall or you each have your own points only?

    going off you are not sharing overall %, and have your own unique 1000pt lists using all the normal rules: (also assuming you can use special characters and nothing has been comped.)


    Wulfrik - 185

    39 marauders, flails, command, MoS - 225

    chaos Chariot with MoS - 130

    5 Chas Knights, musician, banner + banner of eternal flame MoS - 250

    Hellcannon - 205

    Total: 995 a bit of "outflanking" and some hard hitting units to break the stalemate skaven combats, along with some very powerful shooting - quite nasty at 1K. A nice unit with magical flaming attacks to deal with hydras, hellpits, ghosts and so forth.

    Skulltaker on juggernaught - 200

    25 bloodletters inc command, icon of endless war -355
    5 Flesh hounds of Khorne - 175
    5 chaos furies - 60
    3 bloodcrushers - 210

    least favourite list, just cannot get deamons to work well for me at 1K but this seemed ok(ish)

    and a Tomb King list because you layed down the gauntlet:

    Liche Priest, enkils kanopy (could swap for dispel scroll, had points left over) - 95
    Ramhotep the visionary - 110

    5 chariots, banner + banner of eternal flame - 295
    13 bowmen - 78

    6 necrololis knights with full command (now with re-rollable 3+ armour save too.) 420

    998pts and should be suitably aggressive! but still has a fair few points sitting back (But then that helps on working out VP's)


    In essence, found Warriors worked well in 1K as long as the core choices where marauders, trying to fit warriors in was tricky.
    - deamons was a struggle all round.
    - TK's could do some interesting things it seems but mainly shock troops.

    Glad you think Wulfrik works, I was considering him. I was considering:

    5 Marauder Horsemen (Musician, Shields, Throwing Axes) 86
    5 Marauder Horsemen (Musician, Flails, Mark of Khorne, Light Armour) 116
    5 Chaos Knights (Command, Mark of Tzeentch, Blasted Standard) 390
    Wulfrik 185
    34 Chaos Marauders (Command, Great Weapons, Mark of Khorne) 220

    Total: 997

    How do I make Marauders with Great Weapons though?

    I can't say I like this list at all. IMO Chariots need a Prince to reduce the damage they receive in CC and buying Ramhotep to boost the Knights seems a waste, compared to taking a SSC.

    The best I could come up with was:
    War Sphinx
    Necrosphinx
    Priest (Earthing Rod)
    Archer bunker
    2 Horse Archer units
