Ideas on my Libby
Ok so got a Libby on its way to lead my small army, I only have basic stuff as of right now (2x 5 man SS). Im just looking for an idea on what powers will work best for playing Necrons, My buddy plays them. Im thinking of giving him a sword and just powers to keep points low for the time being then after i order a bunch of stuff think about changing him, but for now anything will help. Pre Thanks for the help =D>

Basic stuff? Brotherhood Champion will do you right. Cheaper in points too. Libbys tend to come in once you get over the 1000 points mark.
This week I am good-naturedly shaking my fist at: Baragash. For being unreasonably reasonable.
Sex, drugs and pointy ears.
Cheaphammer 40p: 2000 points of Marines as cheap as possible.
It'll be alright on the Knight - a slow refreshing of my original Grey Knight army.
Cordova: In my head you're eight foot tall, always carry an officer's sabre, and speak like Theoden at the battle of Pelennor Fields.
Grey Knights don't go to heaven: they go to hell and regroup.

Well I do plan to add a lot very soon likely to put me well into the 1000 points range and well I don't like the Champ as he only has one wound. I also already have ordered the Libby and don't plan on not using him. So what would you use for powers/wargear I was thinking leaving him with a sword to give him the better save and just getting a handful of powers but not sure what is good as I have only ever used CSM Sorcerers in the past which are a lot different

Ward Stave, Dark Ex, Warp Rift, Might of Titan, Sanctuary & Quicksilver. Racks him up to 210ish points, but you need him to survive and you need him to have effective powers. But that loadout can be used in all games.

Cool thanks but why the warding staff? Seems not the good for the high point cost and doesn't it only give you the save in CC (if im reading it right). And I can drop QS and Dark Ex as ill be playing Necrons

cause for ranged attacks, theyre pointed at the whole unit so you can spread those wounds over other guys in the squad. whereas in cc, being an independent character, your opponent can choose to attack him directly if in base to base contact. therefore having that 3++ in cc is worth it to keep him alive longer when dealing with mc's, other hq's, or other power weapons in general.
