    5 / 1500

I have a fairly simple choice... as I only have 5 points left... at least I would have thought it to be simple.

I can post the list... but it's pretty simple. Libby, Vindi, 3 strike squads in Psybacks, Termie squad plus a LRC and purgation squad in a psyback. 1495 points.

So with 5 left over... I can add another power to my Libby, currently:

    Might of Titan
    Quicksilver
    Warp Rift
    Sanctuary

    or....

I can give all 5 vehicles a searchlight

I am leaning towards Shrouding... but not sure it will be any more useful than search lights in turn one of a DoW deployment.

Maybe this is really simple and I've just been staring at this shit too long?

Dark Ex. Always take it, no matter what. Then take Searchlights and such.

This week I am good-naturedly shaking my fist at: Baragash. For being unreasonably reasonable.
    Sex, drugs and pointy ears.
Cheaphammer 40p: 2000 points of Marines as cheap as possible.
It'll be alright on the Knight - a slow refreshing of my original Grey Knight army.
Cordova: In my head you're eight foot tall, always carry an officer's sabre, and speak like Theoden at the battle of Pelennor Fields.

Grey Knights don't go to heaven: they go to hell and regroup.

that would probably be useful if I ever played Daemons... closest I get to them is Chaos marines. If I were tournamenting that would probably be a decent choice. Probably more useful more often than the lights would be?

I do believe I discovered my problem, however:
It turns out to be quite difficult to complete an army list after one consumes enough Makers Mark

Perhaps. If I had any idea what you're on about. Searchlights then.

    LOL

    Original post: too much bourbon

    Last post: not enough coffee

    How it should have read:

Thanks, EB! DarkEx is a great power, and probably more useful than searchlights considering how often night fighting actually comes into play. I never play against Daemons... occasionally CSM and it will come in very handy if he ever starts playing with more than terminators, LOL.

    So, DarkEx over Shrouding then?

Both, if you can. For generaly purpose-ness, Shrouding. But I'd always suggest finding room for it so when you do fight Daemons, you're not accused of being a cheese-monger when you include it all of a sudden.

    If I'm playing GK won't I be called a cheese-monger anyway?

My Libby is getting pretty expensive now... over 200pts with the warding stave.

His model is on its way... metal Librarian in T armor, used from ebay. It has the boltgun left hand... I'm a gonna have to kit up a storm bolter on his wrist or something cool with the terminator plastic kit... which will be ordered this weekend.

My first full squad of knights!

    I'm stoked...

I picked up a Vindicare, the one with rifle and pistol, on ebay for a song.

Slowly my Knight of Titan are coming together......

Only if you spam Purifiers, Paladins, Crowe, Draigo and Dreads. Anything else is generally OK.

Libbys are, but you need them alive and potent. So Warding Stave and 5 powers at least is the way to go. Mine is generally 210, but he's a tank that'll kill anything.

All good choices so far there too.

    Thanks man

I've been going about it slowly... picking up a model here, another there. But I just finished reading Hammer of Daemons. GREAT BOOK. It's the best 40k novel I've read (not counting the HH series, that's 30k). Alaric is a badass.

I'm trying to decide if i want to grab as many boxes as I can when I can... buy em up and go! Or wait until my terminator squad is done, then keep going. I guess I'll figure that out later.

For now I'm excited to get choppin on a new squad.

You can, if you're lucky, get some good quality metal (VASTLY superior) GKTs on ebay still. ~ £30 for 5 is a good deal.

I've been keeping an eye out... I like the old metal GK Terminators a lot, but those don't go cheap.

For the strike squad guys I like the plastic models just as much, looks wise anyway.

I will probably get at least one plastic kit of each... even if I find good deals on ebay. That way I'll have lots of bits to play with.
