Psycannons firing from Rhino top hatch

    Hey all,

Just wanted to get some clarification about this since I am planning on running Rhinos in my next game. Rhinos say that 2 models can fire from the top hatch, if I have 2 Psycannons in my Rhino and I choose to have those 2 be the firing models do I get 2 shots each or 4 shots each if the Rhino moved 6"?

Didn't really see much in the way of clarification on this in the codex.

It is any 2 models of your choosing, so yes both psycannons could shoot out of the rhino. If the vehicle moves up to 6" the models inside fire as having moved. If the vehicle moves more than 6", then you cannot shoot. It is covered in the main rulebook in the vehicle section. I don't have a main rulebook handy or I would tell you the exact page.

Ok, that was my initial thinking, just didn't want to cheat myself out of some extra shots if I could take them.

pg 66 for the Fire Points rule
also keep in mind that if the rhino is shaken or stunned, passengers cannot fire (pg67)

so often it is better to move a transport the full 12 inches, disembark and then fire (this way more models get to shoot)

I know GK's vehicles have a psychic power that lets them ignore shaken/stun results; but I'm not sure if this also applies to embarked passengers
(as CSM have an upgrade daemonic possession that lets their vehicles ignore shaken/stun and there's specifically says it is only for the vehicle, passengers will still be effected/cannot shoot)

    CSM 0/0/0 (70% painted)
    Tyranid 0/0/0 (updating)

If the vehicle isn't stunned or shaken, then neither are the passengers. So yes they can.
