Dark Angels 3rd Company

Here is my latest project (I have posted it about a bit!)

I am creating yet another army, this time, Dark Angels.

I have had a thing for this army for a long time, something about them just appeals to me and I really want to try non-vanilla Space Marines. Currently I only have 2 models painted up but I plan on getting an assault marine done by the end of next week. Not only that, it will be the first Army to feature on my blog on my website www.40khaostheory.com (bit of advertising there?).

My army looks something like this:

HQ:
Chaplain with Jump Pack

Elites:
5 Scouts, Heavy Bolter

Troops:
10 x Space Marines, Power Weapon, Meltagun, Missile Launcher
5 x Space Marines, Power Weapon, Plasmagun
1 x Rhino

Fast Attack:
5 x Assault Marines, Power Fist, Plasma Pistol

A close up of the gold on my Chaplain (I've looked at the shoulder pad, and it looks to be slightly miscast, which I'm a bit annoyed at now!):

My first Assault Marine:





Personally, if you ask me. I am really pleased with how they've turned out for the first models I've painted completely in 6 months. I've noticed I still have to paint the bottom of the Chainsword on the Assault Marine.

Pictures will be coming as and when I complete each model. Also, they've all got chapter shoulder pads that I bought from GW - well worth it in my opinion!

Yeah, mouldlines, I know

I think it's the primer actually, not sure how well it went on. Or it could be because it's finecast - not sure I picked up the greatest example of it. I got the sergeant painted up yesterday and will be posting him up soonish
