Custom Codex

Hey guys, I'm pretty new to 40k. I'm currently binding a grimoire and found that I have a lot of left over material. So I figured I'd make a codex of Chaos Space Marines' history and campaigns, myths, legends, and other stuff. Aside from the CSM codex, what other reading material would you guys suggest I check out for more info?

well lexicanum has some summarized fluff...aside from the csm codex and black library book that's pertaining to any traitor leigion or warband is good

lexicanum IS the most up to date compendium of information on 40k...that should be a one stop shop for you. Obviously more detail is available in copyrighted material (codex and novels).

Horus Heresy books will also give a good background on some of the current fluff, to extent that in some books the CSMs dont even know their CSMs yet lol

Thanks guys. So far the lexicanum has provided a lot of material. I'll get my hands on some of the hh books later on as well. I'm thinking of writing it in the pov of a rune priest turned traitor legion.
