I haven't played 40k in years. What point levels are popular now?

People usually learn at 500. Increase off that core with 750...Truly get into the game at 1000...

Most friendly games are played at 1500 or 2000. 1850 is is oddly popular and 1750 is an occasional go between. Small scale tournaments or league play might go at 1250...and some bigger games play to 2500 or 3000...Usually at and beyond 3000 the organization chart is altered or true apocalypse is played.

I've never felt the 750 stage is needed. If you can play at 500, you can play at any level.

My friends seem to be playing at 600 points quite a bit recently whenever I've joined in within their games.

Good to know that at least THAT part of the game hasn't changed.
