For sure he is. I'd have to say I love the Daemon Prince. Great stats, and highly customizable. Not to mention the fact that I love that plastic Daemon Prince kit. Just a great model in every aspect.

Dreadknight. 2+ save, 5+ invulnerable, 5 wounds, great customization. Really, most other MCs are let down by only having a 3+ which means missile spams drops 'em hard.

Dr. Manfredel is wrong. That kind of thinking is never justified.

This clearly belongs to tyranids...and imo we gotta give this to the previous codex Hive Tyrant with wings and dual Scything Talons. It's the only model I've ever seen that commands the full attention of the board EVERY time it's placed. (That might just have been mine...as it was the only tyrant with wings our lgs group had ever had)

granted things have changed...but this was from personal experience

It is so hhhaaahhhaaahhh that I started a daemonic army just to field one.
That army never took the field for various reasons, so I cant sing its bloody praise from experience. But it still steal my breath.

I loved the nightbringer, when the necron codex first came out. I think that it was the absurd amount of points that attracted me to him. Then came the onset of poisoned weapons...

I prefer to purchase marines second hand, they have more experience that way

Swarmlord, hands down. Only monstrous creature in the game I will throw at any opponent without hesitation, because I know he has a 50% chance at least of winning any engagement.

I'm kinda with Architech, previous edition Tyranid MCs were the best. I pit that Hive Tyrant and Carnifex at the same standings for commanding the opponent's attention, fear, and loathing

    Army (W/L/D)
    CSM 0/0/0 (70% painted)
    Tyranid 0/0/0 (updating)
    Eldar 1/1/5

only reason I didn't include the fex was that there was a massive difference between the attention given my fexes versus my massive winged tyrant...but they were pretty great too...I loved the 500 point fexes running about

Hands down Talos. Beautiful model and brilliantly dark and gruesome fluff.

The idea of a huge floating, bio-mechanical torture device just really gets my inner psycho going

As a demon player i have to second this. With the 6th ed airborne rules he is even better because he ignores difficult and dangerous meaning the lack of assault grenades no longer sucks for him.

He only has 4 wounds but you are correct he is op, undercost, but what do you expect from the most cheesedick codex ever written. The sad part is while he is argubally the best MC out there he rarely sees play because everything else in their dex is so much better. GW screwed this game for probably the next 10 years with that stupid dex.

Come on... if we're going previous edition MCs then it's Siren Prince all the way

Background-wise I think Skarbrand is my favourite.

Rules-wise I liked the two C'tan, and I quite like the new C'tan Shard rules.

Model-wise FW's Khorne Daemon Prince is the one that srpings to mind.

Its the Carnifex still for me. He may not be as good as he once was but he still can't be ignored.

He's the archetype for me since the 2nd edition Screamer Killer.

Tied for 2nd are the Hive Tyrant and Greater Deamons (ok, that's 5 models!)

No it's not. Get over it. GKs aren't "zomg, teh borken!!11!". Tournies, perhaps, but tournies are little more than ego measuring contests with plastic toy soldiers who's breaking of any Codices filters into the general populace which soon gives rise to the so-called "net-lists". If anything, the DK is a tad underwhelming for it's cost. It starts cheap but gets excessive quickly. Pick up the Codex, try a few games, see what you think. Just because a few people out there will break anything they get their hands on within two seconds flat does not mean that the rest of us are like that. The GK Codex is fine, it's not "screwed the game over for 10 years" with that - it's the people that will specifically cheese things up which are the problem, a problem spurred on by Tournaments and the fact that winning one of these is the highlight of some people's lives (when surely it should be all about meeting other people, playing games and having fun). When Tau lands, and certainly Legions, I reckon there will be things in there which will enrage you even moreso, but that'd be fine because they're not Imperial. So kindly drop the stuck record, it got boring a loooong time ago. DEldar can be considerably more abusive, as can Guard and Space Wolves.

Anyway, topic: Trygon. It's a gorgeous model. Why would any bug player not take at least one in every list? It should be mandatory.

This week I am good-naturedly shaking my fist at: Baragash. For being unreasonably reasonable.
    Sex, drugs and pointy ears.
Cheaphammer 40p: 2000 points of Marines as cheap as possible.
It'll be alright on the Knight - a slow refreshing of my original Grey Knight army.

What? No Trygon love? This is madness!

Trygon hands down for me. The model is gorgeous, intimidating, and an absolute pleasure to build and paint. His stat-line is off the charts. If you're fighting a Nid player and you don't shoot his Trygons first, you had better be shooting at a Swarmlord (and even that I wouldn't recommend, as he's slower and will likely be sitting at 9 wounds with an almost guaranteed cover save thanks to his retinue).

Stalkers are Walkers, unless you mean Tomb Spyders.
