Noob incoming!
Gidday from down under!
Just started back into the hobby after about 15 years, and needed a place to get all the help and advice i can get. Never really played or painted, i just liked the look of the models ( i was only 11 at the time). just started painting up some 40k minis (picked up a second hand AOBR on ebay for CHEAP!!!
). while i enjoy painting i am quickly coming to realise that my skills at laughable at best, espically seeing some of the minis on this forum.
Thinking of starting an orks or CSM army, or preferably something thats easy to start playing with considering of my level noobishness. Any thoughts?
All that aside just thought id introduce myself, and say hi.

Hello and welcome!
This week I am good-naturedly shaking my fist at: Baragash. For being unreasonably reasonable.

Cheaphammer 40p: 2000 points of Marines as cheap as possible.
It'll be alright on the Knight - a slow refreshing of my original Grey Knight army.

Welcome to the forums Prawn, If you are unsure of your painting skill might be worth avoiding orks for now, as they require the fielding of larger numbers of individual models, All the best anyways in what ever endevour you embark upon .......... MD

Hi and welcome to the forums. With your painting skills Orks might actually be good for you on the other hand. They take a lot of models and the only way to get better is through practice. With Orks, you'll get plenty of practice.

Yeah, for your first jump into the painting world a high point elite army like chaos or space marines are a good point. Orks can be overwhelming on several fronts. The amount of models, the money to field them etc. You can get a good competitive force of marines (Whether they are loyal or traitor scum) for not too much and I find them easier to paint over all.
Also, welcome to the forum. I'm a recently relapsed 40k addict and I love hit. Need any help that the forum can't provide message me I'd be glad to help!
