Take your inspiration wherever you find it, that's what I say. It'll come out different anyway most likely, but as long as you're happy with it, that's the main thing.
(oddly enough, I'd go with how I do things over the studio scheme too. Their's is far too blue on the silver for a start
).
And yes, you are correct!
The fact that it couldn't be spotted until I pretty much pointed it out is a good thing I think.
Gotta love green stuff moulding.
Though why they only gave 2 finger segments for 3 hands I don't know. Stupid decision, especially as they're pushfit weapons. Would it really have killed them to do three? Those pieces for around £5 in some places, and it's about the size of your little finger nail ffs!
Here's your cookie:

Enjoy!

Wow, that are some huuuuuge cookies

eb, you can see it at the fingertip of the thumb, but only if you have the other hands for comparison
(at least that's were I spotted a little difference and assumed the right thing)

Well, y'know - got to make it worthwhile.
If anything, the join where the finger segment glues onto the hand is the weak link of the piece, but it's good enough to pass muster. And if confuddled most people for that long, I suspect that without prompting that there was something different there, many wouldn't have got it. So I'll chalk it up as a sucess!

Resting. Need to take a break now and then, just to recharge. After that, no idea. Have to see what tickles me.

Thanks d4c!
It's a combination of the GW snow flock (which isn't great) and some bicarbonate of soda. Mix it up with some pva glue into a thick paste, slather it on and sprinkle more over the top. Spray with purity seal to keep it on once finished. Simple as that.
