What Grey Knight's to get next???

So, rig ht now i have a very small grey knight army:

    1. 5 Terminators w/ Warding stave, hammer, and psycannon (My favorite unit i own fo far)

    2. 5 Grey knights, w/ Psilencer

    3. Razorback w/ Lascannons

So, What would you recommend i get next? More Terminators, Knights or a bigger something like a Dreadknight???

HQ choice. Librarian for preference, those guys are badass mo-fos.

Drop the Psilencer though, take the Psycannon. Psilencers are pure 100% pants.

More Troops. There's always room for More Troops.

But ... take what you like, it's your army. Most of the advice you'll get is the boring copy/paste "Take psyflemen Dreadnoughts/purifiers/paladins" which sends me to sleep. So take whatever you fancy, it'll still likely do you OK.

This week I am good-naturedly shaking my fist at: Baragash. For being unreasonably reasonable.
    Sex, drugs and pointy ears.
Cheaphammer 40p: 2000 points of Marines as cheap as possible.
It'll be alright on the Knight - a slow refreshing of my original Grey Knight army.
Cordova: In my head you're eight foot tall, always carry an officer's sabre, and speak like Theoden at the battle of Pelennor Fields.

Grey Knights don't go to heaven: they go to hell and regroup.

You're best bet is to write a list out and go from there. The worst mistake you could make is not knowing what you want. That's why it's better to write up a list and follow that list.

Good judgement comes from experience, alot of that comes from bad judgement

    ^This.

If you come up with a list of, say 1000 points you can work towards buying everything on that list. Saves you money in the long run by not having units you don't need.

Saying that, you can't go wrong with more troops.

They're str4 Heavy. Psycannons are str7 Rending, Assault/Heavy. You can move and shoot a Psycannon, you can't with a Psilencer unless you're a Terminator. And Terminators will get all 4 shots from a Psycannon, so it's better Vs more things than a Psilencer is.

This all the way. The Psilencer (wth is that name all about ne ways) is only good against daemons...and then it's still debatable.

If you snag a Librarian you will have a small but legal army list! (HQ, 2xTroops)

After that, absolutely more troops. Make regular trips to your favorite store and pick up a strike squad box and razorback box each time.

I wouldn't worry about anything else until you get upwards of 1250 or 1500 points. Then maybe start looking at a squad of Purifiers, a Land Raider, or whatever you feel best fulfills the purposes of your list.

But like stated above, go in with a plan. Know what you're getting and why... then get it. This will save you time, money and frustration. After you have a solid list, then go get the fun, shiny things you want but might not actually use on the table that often... or start another army...

or if you really want to spend moey but a crusader death cult blob with coteaz or an inquisitor drop them in a chimera or foot slog and it's something thats diffrent so i like comparred to pure purifier or teminator spam. i personally use 3 purifier units in lascannon razorbacks with 2 psycannons and haberds 2 paladin units an inquisitor a described as above henchmen blob and thats it as well as crow. mixes everything in and i may add a black reach dread for 2000 rigt know at 1850

Librarians are great. Ive yet to go wrong with one. One thing you can always use more of in GK armies are Terminators (for terms or paladins) and regular knights (for strike squads, purifiers, etc) Its one of my favorite things about the army, that one model can serve so many different roles (compared to eldar or necrons for example).

    Id recommend:

    Librarian
2 boxes of regular Gk troops
    2 Razorbacks

Accept certain inalienable truths: Necrons will rise, invulnerable saves will fail, you too will deep strike off of the table, and when you do you'll fantasize that when you were young Necrons didn't come back, Terminators were gods and the scatter die always read "Hit".

If you go with the Librarian get at least one box of Terminators... the Libby can't ride in the Razorbacks because he only has T armor (no regular power armor option). You don't want him all alone...

If you start small, get a Brotherhood Champion for your HQ. Nothing fancy, but lower points and he fits in a RB with a 5 man strike squad.
