The Amazing Spider-Man
I wasn't sure about this one before. Now I'm getting a little more comfortable with the idea.

It's different enough to set itself apart from the other movies. I'm approving so far, but I still don't think it'll be anywhere near the Superhero movie of the year when it's up against the giants of Avengers and Dark Knight Rises.

OK, so.... It just might work.
Why? In my opinion... Because they're doing something NEW. It's not Doc Oc. It's not the Green Goblin. Those have been done to death in spiderman things. Now, sure, the Lizard has his fair share of spiderman showings... but it seems to be secondary to Peter Parker's parents. And that's something that's only rarely been touched. It allows much more leeway with things.
Pun always intended.

Very pleasantly surprised. Miles better than the Maguire three. I approve of this reboot; 8/10.

Saw it last week. Gets a resounding "Meh" from me.
Sloppy script, Garfield's acting doesn't make up for Parker's awful dialogue and character progression, CGI was terrible, Lizards motivation was completely ridiculous and the character relationships were horribly contrived.

Couldn't disagree more. The script was tight with interesting dialogue and character progression, CGI had blistering attention to detail, and the character relationships were some of the best you could get. Agree on Lizard's motivations though. He went from rational scientist to crazed lunatic in about 5 seconds.

Your cousin brother? That would mean he's the child of.... your mother and your uncle? Is that right?
Anywho, reported.
