Question Which edition rules are we on?

I am returning back to the hobby after a few years away. The last edition I played was 3rd. I just got the new Dark Eldar codex. I like it, some cool changes, but I have not thrown any dice using these rules. Which rule book should I look for? Any information you guys give is more than I have now. Thanks

I am looking forward to this forum, or should I say "I am looking forward to your death screams as an after dinner treat"

    Greetings.

We're on 5th at the moment. Rumours of 6th later in the year, but nothing definite. You might be able to pick up a small paper back copy of the Rulebook from ebay or other such places, to give you an idea as to what's what.

This week I am good-naturedly shaking my fist at: Baragash. For being unreasonably reasonable.
    Sex, drugs and pointy ears.
Cheaphammer 40p: 2000 points of Marines as cheap as possible.
It'll be alright on the Knight - a slow refreshing of my original Grey Knight army.
Cordova: In my head you're eight foot tall, always carry an officer's sabre, and speak like Theoden at the battle of Pelennor Fields.

Grey Knights don't go to heaven: they go to hell and regroup.

Thanks you guys, I'll probably wait to buy some rules until this shakes out. Would my new DE codex become obsolete?

The new DE codex is incredibly new. While 6th ed rules will change how some things work, it will not destroy any of the new codices
