Do weapons that have a str value that is high enough to cause instant death but has a rule where its rolled against leadership value can it still cause instant death? I cant find a rule against it. For example sisters of battle neural whips are str8."

If you roll to wound against the units leadership then you base it off that. so unless the unit is Ld4 against the whip then you will not cause instant death, reguardless of toughness.

unless it specifically says "causes instant Death"

you roll to wound with leadership but i think in terms for instant death it would be toughness not leadership.

DarkPwner is right. This got nerfed in the necron FAQ. Abysall staff is still good just no cheap ID's anymore.
