The passion vs righteous rage

So I was trying to make a apocolpise death star unit ((dont ask why)) and I noticed that a canoness and give a squad perfered enemy, and a priests can let you re roles ailed rolls to hit. I cant think of many situations where you can get this in an army, so Im wondering that happens if you put both in a squad. Seems like it could happen a lot and there is no definition of what happens. do you only get to re role once, or twice, because they are different rules. It seems odd two units that can very easily be put together would have conflicting rules, so what are your thoughts, are there other units in the game that have had this situation, and if so, what was the outcome?

As far as I know, the Priests are independent characters. That being said, only the Canoness or a Priest may join a squad, not both. Therefore it would be much wiser to keep the Canoness with your squad than a Priest for survivability factor, and rolling a lot easier against your enemy in CC. Still, if you have points you need to spend, you could put a priest or two in there to help your SoB units he's attached with to make them more effective in the Assault.

Last time I checked there is no limit to how many IC's you can have in a squad, so you could easily take both...

There is no limit to attaching IC's to a squad, but it comes down to reliability. A priest ALWAYS gives it in the turn you assault VS. a 70% chance to gain the passion which also rises your initiative. Honestly I say take a special character priest for all the cheap amazing benefits.
