A Song of Ice and Fire - Graphic Novels
So I woke up this morning to an email from Amazon linking me to this.
It's the first volume of a series of Graphic Novels based on the George R R Martin books. What do we think of this?

As someone who's got & read the books and got the DVD, I'm pretty meh (from an it's overkill POV) to it myself, but I can see how people coming from the DVD that haven't read the books might be more excited about going for the graphic novel.

I'm a bit meh about it too. @LadyMorticia wants to read the books, but can't concentrate long enough, and the text is so small in the books we have, so we'll probably get this for her anyway.

Looks pretty neat, but I think I'll stick with the novels for now unless something blows my mind.

I have the first 6 issues. Read them all so far. Quite interesting, enjoying comic books a lot more lately, those this one seems choppy and a bit unfinished in comic book form. I told my sister in law where the story was after the 6 edition and she said that's half way thought the first novel. I want to read them all, but I have waaay better comics than these.

Personally I would HIGHLY recommend picking up the HEDGE KNIGHT comic series. It is set before the timeline in the Ice & Fire series. Details the events that cause the civil war.
Was originally a novella from Martin in an anthology book called legends. Later on there was another story called, I think, Hedge Knight II. Continuing the story of Egg.
Haven't been able to find a copy of Legends II. Still haven't read the second part but it is high on my list of must find and read books.

Most typos are because I mainly use my phone with swype and autocorrect... sorry.
