    GW Customer Support

I just wanted to say, that in the 3 years I have been playing this game I have never needed customer support until now. A box of Swooping Hawks I bought had some minor miscasts and bubbling along the edges, and so I called them up. In 10 minutes, they've agreed to send me another box like it's no big deal.

I just wanted to post this as a small way of showing how much I appreciate how great their customer support is, and how more companies should really try and be this cooperative. If there is one thing GW has nailed on the head, it's this. And for that I thank them.

    W/L/D (1v1/)
    Eldar- 22/2/2
    Necrons- 4/2/0

The best of men can swallow victory with the same taste as defeat.

GW is really the Nordstrom's of tabletop gaming... fantastic customer service. In particular where a bad casting or missing pieces are concerned.

Nordy's had the best return policies... I used to buy my basketball shoes there. I could wear a new pair of Nikes into the ground and go back two months later and exchange them for new ones.

I've had 2 codexes with faulty bindings in the past, took em to my local store which replaced immediately no quibble. Likewise I had a finecast with a mould fault that would have been difficult to putty replaced.

When we bought our first 40k army (second hand - but we bought a fair bit of fantasy from the local store so they knew us) the best painted model was an Emperors champion. An accident with the model snapped the sword blade off, and my son was gutted. I took it into the store, one of the staffers drilled the sword blade, glued in a short metal rod, and it was right as rain - couldnt even see the join. I was stunned. Bought a drill there and then, its had good service since!

GE are first class in customer service.

I can only agree with this thread GW has given outstanding customer support to me on the few occaisions ive needed it .. MD

And what are the achievements of your fragile Imperium? It is a corpse rotting slowly from within while maggots writhe in its belly. It was built with the toil of heroes and giants, and now it is inhabited by frightened weaklings to whom the glories of those times are half-forgotten legends. I have forgotten nothing and my wisdom has expanded far beyond mere mortal frailties. ... Ahriman of the Thousand Sons.

When the new GK codex came out, my mate had it on advance order and when no one was in on delivery - the postman left it behind a bin and posted a note. It then proceeded to rain heavily and even though it was in a bag, it got soaked and the codex got quite a bit of rain damage damage. He took it to GW store in Cambridge and they just gave him another in an instance.

When the Necron codex came out I accidently bought 2 so I took one to GW store in Cambridge un opened, and let them open the package (proof it was new) and they gave me store credit to swap for something else.

I have got a load other better examples from mates (like my mate getting a second warhound body from FW with no need to send the first back!!!).

    Great customer service.

CJB does.........bugger all at the moment as he is too busy playing DOTA 2 !

Necrons : Updated 5th December 2012 - Tomb Stalker built ! MORE COMING
Inquisition : Updated 15th Sep 2012 - Ordo Malleus Inquisitor Progressed - Project Frozen

THANK YOU GW ! Thank you for the great game that is 40k you have built over years of hard work (honestly, no sarcasm, I AM A GW FANBOY - KEEP IT UP!)
