Borderlands 2
So now seemed an apt time to make this thread as the two "collector's" editions of this game were just revealed.
http://www.pcgamer.com/2012/05/17/bo...ons-announced/
I have to say.... this may be the first time I've ever gone all out and bought the most expensive package of a game. Not for the artbook or the cards or the stickers or any of that silly stuff. No, I'm going to pay $100 for a replica of a loot chest. Because god damnit, I want to store something really fucking awsome in that. Like my whiskey or something. Or perhaps a small Warhammer army. I don't know, I'll work that out later. But that is just too damned cool to pass up.
So anywho, Borderlands 2. Without question my most anticipated game now that Skyrim is out. Anyone else getting geared up for it?
EDIT: Also, I just noticed something. Look at the picture of the Ultimate Loot Chest Edition. On the left hand side is some sort of "Creatures of Pandora" picture. Evidently there's going to be collosal Dune worm style things now. Looking forward to that.

debated it...because I do love me some weapon chests...but it also looks rendered...and until I see what it looks like irl or through real pics...because there was the whole "avatar chest"

Meh... I've only shelled out for more than just the game once. And it was for the RC car for Black Ops. Definitely won't be getting either of these.

I only ever went for a special deal once...and it was just pre-order but you got a free action figure (pretty nice vinyl statue of one of the characters). That was for an old PS2 game called Gladius. It was a brilliant game...but processed SOOOOO slowly, that I could never get back into it

New trailer came out today.
Honestly, how could anyone not want to play this?

Borderlands 2 is on sale today on Steam if you already own Borderlands on steam. $53.99
Not a bad deal if you were intending to purchase on Steam anyway.

We ought to get a group to play together when it finally comes out. Perhaps have a second character that we only play when we're all on or something.

Totally down for Borderlands 1 even since I never finished a character/all DLC; but yes down for number 2 when it comes out as well

“A man must know his destiny… if he does not recognize it, then he is lost. By this I mean, once, twice, or at the very most, three times, fate will reach out and tap a man on the shoulder… if he has the imagination, he will turn around and fate will point out to him what fork in the road he should take, if he has the guts, he will take it.” - General George S. Highest is probably in their mid 20's, but willing to start from the beginning if a group is game; usually play 1800 PST+

Oh, then we should definetly play sometime!
I actually beat everything (bar Crawmerax) with Mordecai a while back, but have since gotten a new computer. When I did, I lost my character. I actually just recently reinstalled the game and started playing again, though not much, so basically I'd be starting from square one.

Quick side note here.
Smurfy and I are going to be starting a Borderlands run on the PC in the next day or two. Anyone else have any interest in joining in?
