Sneggys Blog-Find a box for my tentacles

Right then boys and girls. Since my origional painting topic has vanished into the nether regions of the forum I have elected to begin a new one.
I make no promises of regular updating of this nor of any quality of pictures or painting.

First up we have the obligatory shot of my entire desk. Arrayed on the desk alongside my paint station and laptop are my 3 current 1500pt armies. Orks, Necrons and Eldar. All in varying states of completion.

Now that laptop rather spoils the view so heres one where using witchcraft (and hands) I have made it dissapear.

So first up we have my most recent army, the ork speed freaks. Currently standing with a win record of 12 played, 11 won. 1 lost ludicrously to a mycetic spore (darn you @Beeva )

Next up we have my oldest love, the Necrons. The models in this army span 4 editions and there are only 5 of the new release in there. theres also a very unfinished Ctan conversion based on a dragon ogre shaggoth who goes by the name terrence. Later on you will meet phil the tomb spyder in his close up. Phil was the second necron I owned. Bob the pariah being the first, but since i dont have need for bob at present he is tucked away in his box dreaming about killing all humans.

And finally we have the Eldar, my cheaphammer army. Everything you see there was purchased for under £50(theres a wraithlord included in that price as well but hes also asleep in a box somewhere dreaming about killing all humans). Thank you eBay.
Also mixed into that photo is my model from the model swap, lovingly painted by @Cordova . Some more pics of him later on.(the model that is not cordova)

Now onto the close ups, leader of the speed freaks here we have GitSnik Diezil-Guzzler. Gitsnik is well known around my gaming circle for heroic acts of cowardice whilst his attack squig and nob biker pals do all the work. To suit this he wields a shield with a gretchin strapped to it (for padding, bullets are awfully jarring on the arm you see)

As I mentioned earlier this is Phil. Phil used to live alone on the tomb world in 5th edition. Well him and his Scarab children as it was a cheesy but useful tactic to spawn a scarab base then laugh as your tomb spyder basically had an extra 3 wounds for free. Nowadays however Phil has a mate Phyllis(you can just about see here at the ack of the photo.) Phil still wears the trousers though as he has the most claws, Phyllis carries a particle beamer...ya know just in case someone tries to hurt the children.

Well I think that'll do for this post. I shall give Cordovas painting its own post in a moment for my farseer. Thank you for taking the time to read and look at my poor scrawlings and slapdash painting. Any comments welcomed.

Now for the model swap figure. I painted a space wolf guard for Cordova and for me he did the leader of my eldar. An as of yet unnamed farseer(perhaps @Cordova should name him?)
I painted the base to fit in with the rest of my army.

That's a really good idea. Now which door can we do without...?

Oh, and I really like your Necrons. Is that an old one hiding at the left there? (The one that looks a bit like an Eversor proxy.)

I assume you mean the gold chap behind phil on the left? 2nd/3rd edition warrior. i use them as my immortals since they are bigger than the current warrior models.

Yep, that'll be him. I'm glad they still get used.

Have you taken (or are you planning on taking) any unit shots of your armies? (You know, so we can look through your HQ, troops, elites, etc. pic by pic.)

Well, looks like they've grown in number a bit since I last played them. I get the feeling they've been practicing since we last me too

Keep it up Sneggy! Looking great so far!

so a month and a half after I promised we have some models.

Some of you may recall my eldar army and its distinct lack of painting. Well we have all the troops chocies done!
    So first up the jetbikers.

Then next up we have my second dire avengers unit.
    First three:

second three, note the one reloading (shamelessly stolen from @edmundblack )

then the front three. Enjoy the Exarch who is striking some form of fake martial arts pose. I say fake as until now he is yet to kill anything...ever.

Finally the group shot, everyone say 'bladestorm'
