READ THIS FIRST: Make New Members feel welcome!
Perhaps this should be something fairly obvious, and at a guess, most of you know how to go about this anyway - but for those who don't, here's a boring post for you

Of course we want our new members to feel welcome and feel as if they can freely enter our discussions and most importantly, join in.
Of course we encourage a sense of humour in introduction topics - it's always nice to have some humour in your introduction thread to make you feel more welcome!
BUT
There are limits!
By this I mean; Taking things too far. For example, we get complaints from newly registered users that some things people say in replies is stepping over the line and is unacceptable.
Therefore I ask you all to simply think before you post your reply to an introduction. Someone posting here wants to feel welcome, rather than offended.
I'm sure you know what I mean with this post - by all means stick with the humour, but sensitive issues need to be kept away, or I'm afraid warnings will end up being issued.
Thanks for reading,
Andy,
40kforums Admin

Re: READ THIS FIRST: Make New Members feel welcome!
I'd just like to add:
Please do not constantly call new members "noobs". Yes, they are newbies, but if this sort of language is overused it can create an atmosphere of elitism. Your join date or your post count don't make you more important than any other member of 40kforums.
I for one won't be warning people for saying "noob" in a joking way, but please try not to patronise or intimidate new members.
I'm just glad that this hasn't become much of a problem yet, and posting this I just wanted to check it before any mood of elitism develops.

Alter ego?
This week I am good-naturedly shaking my fist at: Baragash. For being unreasonably reasonable.
Sex, drugs and pointy ears.
Cheaphammer 40p: 2000 points of Marines as cheap as possible.
It'll be alright on the Knight - a slow refreshing of my original Grey Knight army.
Cordova: In my head you're eight foot tall, always carry an officer's sabre, and speak like Theoden at the battle of Pelennor Fields.
Grey Knights don't go to heaven: they go to hell and regroup.

Lord of Tau and God of Tau? Coincidence?
