Checking the bounty boards once more and not seeing anything either useful or doable by himself alone, Hexor begins to make inquiries about other jobs around the guild hall and around town. There's has to be something that pays better than the measly little bounties posted but that won't kill him like the bigger bounties.

During his wanderings a thought comes to him. Maybe he should find someone, or a group, to team up with to do the bigger bounties and make more money. He adds this to his inquiries.

    - Is there any way across to the out cropping aside from entering the water? Or is there a better access to pulling it out from the bank on the opposite side?

no to either, it's a rock outcrop in the middle.

In that case I'm going to try dragging it in again, just like the last one. If I feel like I'm starting to get pulled into the river though, let it free.

Kash looks at his companion, and then at the monged out medic, at his rock clustered spell-casting hand, and back at his companion.

'I say, we do seem to be retrograding along the required progression for this bounty good sir, do you wish to try and flush out this fiendishly marvelous machine with your bouldering elemental friend, stride in guns blazing, try and bribe the thing with some nice rocks that it seemed to be hoarding, or fall back to town to regroup? Or is there some other plan you envisage worth a throw of the proverbial die? I am afraid my magic abilities have been somewhat curtailed by my lapse in concentration, but I am willing to lend my mind and my guns where you think best. It is a shame I did not inquire of the goblin what the machine's fuel is...'

He trails off as mind drifts to ponder what manner of mechanism or magic is powering the bot...and awaits for Torbac's decision .

OOC: How good is our night vision? Half debating if we could try and do this without torches for a better vision? Obviously though this leaves us vulnerable to sudden bursts of light, but not sure if it might help? Not sure how much time I'll have over Christmas to post but if night vision is as good as torches go in defender first. If not, take two of the last 4 torches and lets push through properly this time, watch for traps but be ready to smack the bots little friends too.

    "My Lord! We're surrounded!!"
"Excellent! Now we can attack in any direction"

Oh I meant just like generic ability to see in the dark, though I assume this would be like proper pitch black?

Kash claps a hand on Torbac's shoulder, and goes to rack his gun with the other before belatedly realising it's not a shotgun:

'Enough with this dilly-dallying! What say we sally forth and get our derrieres firmly handed to us! Wot ho!'

-if Torbac is good, head in. Kash will take point as bait, and suggest the defender follows us up in the rear with a torch to light the way/drag our bodies back out when the nasty is done.

"Once more un to the breach old chap!" Torbac says trying to remember the human words he'd heard once before.

Happily reunited with her fluffy friend, Rin'vec returns to the hunter's guild and checks the bounty board. Seeing one that screams 'nope' and a few she was indifferent about, the archer instead decided to grab a drink and socialize with some of the other hunters hanging around the place.

-Might as well do some hunter talk while I think of my next move. Few of the B ranked quests look doable but for now a post success drink is in order.

Hey guys, sorry for delays. My project at work is wrapping up to go out for bids soon.

I have about half the update done, but my computer restarted, and I'll need to recover it and finish on a night I have more time and presence of mind.

The game should pick up again in earnest from me on the 22nd/23rd. But I understand people are busy for holidays, so I'll keep it quick and fair until the new year...so no worries if you can't post.

Thanks for playing and Happy Hunting
