Right then, normally i don't make announcements but this I feel warrants nipping in the bud. before it turns ugly..i'll get to the point.

I am starting to see a few ..shall we say "questionable" nicks popping up.

Particularly to WWII German Military commanders and Units.

Why does this bother me? it doesn't..but it may bother other members.
During WWII Nazi germany, particulalry SS divisions , had unique names like "Das Reich", "Fatherland", "Totenkopf", "Leibenstraum"and few other colourful names..

Granted, the uniforms and tanks were indeed impressive..but the majority of these units were used in "ethnic cleansing" of invaded territories..so, i hope you can see my consternation.

I'm sure people would, as a majority, take umbage to nicks like "Taliban_Martyr", "Khmer rouge", or "IRA assassin"..

My point..take the time to think how your nick will effect other members..we are a multi-national board with many religions,creeds and colours..
Am I saying DO NOT use these nicks? no...your choice..as always...just don't be surprised if you get a less than warm reception from other members.
