You know, verty.... It's a shellfish that lives off of the coast of Madagascar.... Once a year all of the verty have a big orgy of mating, but since the verty aren't very intelligent they usually end up mating with other verty of the same sex... That's why...
Aw screw it! I have no clue what verty means.
The cow sez moo; the dog sez bark; but Expalphalog sez whatever he wants.
Bronies: For those who understand, no explanation is necessary; for those who don't, none will do.

Followed the link from the top 100 sites. The comprehensive forums (and the fact it was phpBB) made me join up.

I only ever saw one and I spent lots of time on the Games Workshop boards before I came here.

i was bored with the GW mains, no chance to be an individual there. i was on portent prior to coming here. i thought portent was cool but then i relised it was all popularity there. my posts only got responces from other low-count posters and anybody with a post count over two thousand was like god.
i still post there, i just cracked 100, yay...
these boards, IMHO, are awesome. there's no portentiousness here (get it, 'portent'iousness, ha ha)

well. never saw this before. not that i care much for 'i'm new' posts.. buti'll say how i found this anyway. i was using gw forums and wanted a non-dipshit one, so i searched yahoo for 40k related forums.. and found the top 10 thing. 40kfourms was 3rd or somthing, and i decided on the banners. was really a contest between here and LO, but i chose here, and i am thankful for that
Pun always intended.

I was referred here by a friend from another forum, word was that this forum had more users from the U.S. and so it would make it easier to find a local community for an UMMerikan like me.
Turns out that I live in Az, and I saw that there was a big RTT in a casino on the reservation near my home town. Though I missed the tourny, that sold me on the forums as they were obviously more connected with my side of the pond.

I followed a link in someone's sig on the Wizards of the Coasts boards, as an avid fan of 40k, and looking for things to prevent me from learning for my upcoming tests, I came here. Anything is better then the GW boards.

I heard from the gamesworkshop forums. I joined because the people here aren't @$$holes like the ones form GW. The site is much more organized and has many more features and the GW site looks like the forum was made by a kindergartener.
the greatest thing you can learn is to just love and be loved in return
